How to Reach Bhopal



Bhopal by Air

Bhopal airport, about 13 km northwest of the city centre, is well connected to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Indore, Raipur, Chandigarh and Jabalpur. Taxis are available from the airport to reach the city centre.



Bhopal by railways

Bhopal is on the Delhi-Chennai main line. Major trains going from Mumbai to Delhi via Itarsi and Jhansi also go through Bhopal. Local buses and auto-rickshaws are available to reach the city centre.



Bhopal by road

There are numbers of buses available for tourists such as public and private buses. The place is well connected from all major cities and towns through state bus service. Indore (190km), Ujjain (189km), Nagpur (354km) and Ratlam (297km) are connected to Bhopal via road. You can easily take bus from Bhopal to Indore Ujjain, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Shirdi and various other cities.




Getting Around Bhopal

Bhopal’s public transportation system comprises of buses, mini-buses, three wheeled autos. It is easy to book a cab/ taxi for a full day to get in and around the city at reasonable rates. A recent addition to Bhopal’s transportation system has been a number of full-sized buses called Star-which are quite safe and fun to travel in.
